Foretellix: Advanced testing for autonomous vehicles
The inability to test and verify the safety of Automated Driving Systems (ADS) is the most pressing and complex issue preventing large-scale deployment of autonomous vehicles. Israeli startup Foretellix has developed a verification and validation platform that orchestrates and manages the immense scale of testing required to ensure safety, reduce development costs, and shorten the time to market of ADS. Major OEMs have already adopted the Foretellix solution, including Volvo Group, Daimler Truck subsidiary Torc Robotics and others. Many additional customers worldwide are in advanced evaluation of the Foretellix technology. In 2022, the company’s ARR more than doubled YOY, powered by healthy growth in revenue and bookings. OurCrowd has an allocation in Foretellix’s Series C round led by 83North.

Israeli tech set to keep EV batteries cool, extend life
With the electric vehicle (EV) battery market forecast by McKinsey to grow tenfold this decade to $410B by 2030, Israeli startup Carrar provides a missing link in this critical and fast-growing value chain. Keeping the battery at a constant temperature is more than a convenience, it’s a necessity. The efficiency and useful life of a battery is dramatically reduced if it gets too hot or too cold, slashing the value of the vehicle and adding to a mounting environmental blight of discarded batteries. Carrar has developed a patented thermal management system for EV batteries, the EV powertrain and in-vehicle computers, The Times of Israel reports . Carrar’s immersion technology provides rapid cooling at low pressure, ensuring the components remain at a unified, stable temperature whatever the ambient conditions, whether in Alaska or Dubai. Carrar has ongoing projects with some of the world’s top automakers and Tier-1 companies in the US, Sweden, Germany, Italy and Japan, and is currently funding on the OurCrowd platform.?
