SPACE

SPACE

How much space do you really have?

To all the the workaholics, mums, parents, business owners, startups and everyone working their butt off last year I see you.

Stress and burn out comes in lots of different forms for many people but for me it’s triggered all from not having the space for myself and then everything else suffers.

I’ve been on a journey with my business stress over the last 15 years and have learnt hard lessons along the way.

So before we all rush back to it.....

This year one on my goals which is a phrase I will use a lot is ‘space’

  • Space to work as smart as I can
  • Space to be the best mum I can
  • Space to be a good wife
  • Space to have fun and laughter with friends
  • Space for my exercise and walking
  •  Space to just be ME

There’s a lot more things that we have to juggle these days and with all the extra pressure on us it’s key to have SPACE.

These are some of the things I am going to consistently keep up this year which helped me at my hardest last year when I could feel everything getting too much.

  •  Space on Thursday mornings just for myself to do whatever I want (husband free-child free)
  •  Space for a 1 big walk with a friend or friends every month on a week day out in nature.
  • Space for Exercise 3 times a week
  •  Space on a Monday Pm with Dan (bring back the date nights once allowed)
  •  Space to read at least 1 book per month.
  • Space to Eat fresh food- plan in advance and take breaks (remind myself I need to eat)
  • Space in my diary for Friday afternoons off with the kids and start the weekend with high energy

What I have realised is actually the more ‘Space’ I have the better everything is and I flow.

Space is very powerful to up-level.

So get it in the diary and plan it in.

 In turn everyone is happy!

Love this Rachael - totally agree, for a number of years Ive actually made it a priority to schedule in time to do NOTHING! Pre covid this worked brilliantly and helped me keep on top of things - kids, work, relationship, exercise - but since covid I find I’ve struggled with the lack of alone time at home - which I usually relish, and need. Walking my dog each day is having to make up for it - it’s the only time I feel truly alone to gather my thoughts.
