Revolutionising Urban Work Spaces: A Remarkable Collaboration Between City Concepts and Whitepaper at 80 Great Eastern Street.

Nestled in the vibrant district of Shoreditch, London, City Concepts and Whitepaper joined forces to craft an exceptional 'CAT A' workspace at 80 Great Eastern Street. This 7,000 sq ft project, designed to charm and allure prospective tenants, exemplifies the remarkable synergy of seamless collaboration and inventive design. Adhering to a strict budget of ￡100k and a tight four-week timeline, the partnership skilfully navigated numerous challenges, delivering an impressive state-of-the-art workspace on time and within budget.?

City Concepts was enlisted to supply glazed partitions and door sets for this exceptional project. Their Concept54 single-glazed and RS32 single-glazed slim profile pivot doors, adorned with vertical and horizontal banding, seamlessly integrated with the client's vision of a sophisticated and modern aesthetic. The metalwork and ironmongery were meticulously finished in a bespoke 'pearl beige' colour (RAL 1035), lending an air of contemporary elegance and refinement to the overall design. This gold-toned hue contrasts perfectly with the urban exposed brick walls, creating a harmonious balance between modern sophistication and industrial charm within the office space.?

Our exceptional partnership with Whitepaper played a crucial role in overcoming obstacles during the project from start to finish. One such challenge involved the integration of a 'halo' LED light in the reception area, which required meticulous coordination between the two companies and their subcontractors. The curved drywall and glazing beneath the light needed to be perfectly aligned to create the desired halo effect. Any misalignment could have led to significant delays and compromised the final result of this spectacular office transformation. Thankfully, the strong collaboration and communication between the teams ensured flawless execution.

Another notable collaboration on this project was the partnership with Franchi ironmongery, which supplied the door handles. Their back-to-back pull handles through the glass complemented the overall design while offering ease of operation via floor springs and pivots. The attention to detail in every aspect of the project is a testament to the commitment of City Concepts, Whitepaper, and their collaborators.?
