As luxury wedding planners, we have the opportunity to create beautiful events imagined by our clients. It is wonderful to be able to say that we genuinely love our jobs and wake up every day excited for the next step in the planning process! The end result, the big day is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. When everything comes together and we see the final product with our couples, that is the golden moment!
However, as designers, our brains are always spinning full of new ideas. Styled shoots are a wonderful way for us to get those ideas out and show you everything we're capable of! It is an opportunity for wedding vendors to bring something different, and uniquely theirs to the table! As warmer weather is moving in, please enjoy a look at a sunny, Derby inspired photo shoot that took place in Manchester, Vermont last summer!
The Vision: I had imagined the shoot much like a movie. We're introduced to a beautiful, southern belle. Classic red lips, a large hat, a very Kate Middleton white, button dress. Gloved hands holding her clutch in the back seat of a vintage, ivory Rolls Royce. Her car drives up the dirt road lined by ancient trees, and as it opens up, the white plantation, with it's large porch and beautiful columns glows in the sunlight. From the open front doors she can see straight through the home's foyer, through the white curtains, flowing in the light breeze, that frame the back doors. It's her wedding weekend, and tomorrow everyone arrives. Today, however, the home is quiet, and she can enjoy the memories of past before her life is forever changed. Here, she grew up. This is where she played with her sisters, and out there is where she learned to ride. Over there was where she first sat and got to know her soon-to-be husband during a summer cocktail party, and just outside those doors is where she'd finally say "I do" to the love of her life. A girlish smile creeps across her face, she runs her fingers through the curtains as she crosses the threshold to her future.
