Southeast Asian carrier mulling plans for flights to Denmark in 2024

(newstodate.aero): Still little publicized, Copenhagen Airport may see the opening of its first-ever direct route to Vietnam. ??

As the currently only Vietnamese airline to operate direct routes to Europe, the state-owned carrier Vietnam Airlines now plans to launch flights to more European destinations. ???

First to come are flights on two new routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Munich starting from October 2024, with Boeing 787 aircraft. ???

But the airline is looking further into Europe, citing routes from Vietnam to Milan and Copenhagen as potential destinations to launch already before the end of this year. ???

Until the end of 2023, the privately-owned Vietnamese airline Bamboo Airways operated flights to destinations in Germany and the U.K. but these routes were closed as the airline changed its business strategy after running into deep financial troubles.
