British Gas Energy Trust Grants
Individuals and Families Fund: re-opened on 4th December and will expect to close at the end of March 2024 The fund is available to BG and Non-BG customers with debt of up to £2,000 on a credit energy account or those on a pre-payment meter, in your main residence; in the name of the applicant in England, Scotland, or Wales.
British Gas Energy Support Fund: is open to British Gas credit or pre-payment meter customer living in England, Scotland, or Wales. You must be seeking a grant to clear an outstanding electric and/or gas debt between £250 – £2,000 amp; be facing Fuel Poverty on a current or open gas, electricity or dual fuel energy account in your name or be a member of that household,

British Gas Energy Trust White Goods Fund: The new white goods fund will offer refrigerators, freezers, electric cookers and washing machines. Both British Gas and non-British customers in England and Wales can apply through referral. The National Lottery Community Fund launch Sustainable Steps Wales – Green Careers to support projects that will help young people in Wales (16- 30) with disabilities or from minority ethnic backgrounds. Partnerships are invited to apply for up to £3 million to enable these young people to consider a green career, offering skills, work experience and employment. The Community Ownership Fund Community groups can apply for up to £250,000 (£1m in exceptional circumstances) to purchase or lease a building or land which is used for the wellbeing or social interest of the local community. This could include green spaces, libraries, cultural spaces, leisure facilities, community centres, pubs etc. Round 3 closes 31 Jan 24. The Scheme runs until March 25.

Community Foundation in Wales Cost of Living Crisis Fund: For groups providing services and activities that will make a huge difference to local families and individuals facing crisis and hardship due to the cost of living crisis. Grants will cover core and/or project costs to groups that can demonstrate they are providing services to the community to help alleviate situations of crisis and hardship. Groups can apply for a maximum grant of £5,000 a year for up to 3 years. Grow Wild with Kew Gardens: Grants of up to £2,000 are available for Urban Nature Projects (UK) led by Community, youth and voluntary groups from across the UK that want to bring local people together to transform an urban space by sowing and growing UK native wildflowers and/or plants. Successful groups will receive their Community Grant funding in April and projects need to be completed by the end of October 2024. Deadline 3pm on 30 January 2024. The Pen Y Cymoedd Community Wind Farm Fund CiCLtd Micro Fund for Community & Business is Open: The Micro Fund offers one-off grants up to £6,500 to support important aspects of community life and to support enterprise development. The Matthew Good Foundation Grants for Good aims to support small charities, not-for-profit groups and social entrepreneurs who are passionate about making a difference to people, their community or the environment. The Fund will share £15,000 between five shortlisted projects every three months. As well as established projects and charities, the Foundation wants to hear from people with innovative ideas that need some funding to get their projects up and running. RCT Youth Led Grants: Aged 14-25? Got a great idea about how to make brilliant things happen in your community? You can apply for up to £1,000 by sending a video, writing a poem, telling a story, filling in an application form, or another way. It does not matter how you apply, as long as the project is delivered by young people! What do you plan to do? What difference will you make? How is it led by young people? How much will it cost? The Thomas John Jones Memorial Fund: Est 1944 to help young people to study and train for employment in the engineering industry. The former county of Breconshire includes the area of Penderyn in RCT. Individuals studying engineering or a course with a significant engineering aspect can apply for a grant of £3,000 per annum for undergraduate, post, HND & PHD study. The Wild Isles Community fund: Projects that are accepted to the Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund will receive 2:1 match funding from Aviva. From 30 March 2023 until £1 million of funding has been allocated, pledges will be matched at a rate of £2 to every £1 donated. 2:1 match funding will apply to pledges of up to £250.
