South Wales Central Community Resources & Awards Update

The Wild Isles Community fund: Projects that are accepted to the Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund will receive 2:1 match funding from Aviva. From 30 March 2023 until £1 million of funding has been allocated, pledges will be matched at a rate of £2 to every £1 donated. 2:1 match funding will apply to pledges of up to £250. Gwobrau CLAS 2024. Third Sector Dementia Grant Scheme Round 2: Grant funding totalling £23,000 per area of Rhondda Cynon Taff, Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil is available for projects led by voluntary and community groups/organisations. Projects must be delivered regionally to ensure parity of provision across the region, this may be achieved by working in collaboration with other organisations. Sustainable Drainage Feasibility Grant will fund £25,000 - £40,000 amp; up to 100% of costs for feasibility studies with the potential to develop small-scale schemes via a future competitive grant stage. The Vale of Glamorgan Council has been allocated a total of £14m to invest over three years from the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF).?The Council is currently seeking SPF applications of £25,000 and over. If your project is community led and is below £25,000 you can apply the Strong Communities Fund (which is closed?). Community Ownership Fund opens 30th August: Community groups can apply for up to £250,000 (£1m in exceptional circumstances) to purchase or lease a building or land which is used for the wellbeing or social interest of the local community - this could include green spaces, libraries, cultural spaces, leisure facilities, community centres, pubs and more. DTA Wales will be hosting two free webinars on 11th September 12-2pm (English) and 14th September 1-3pm (Welsh) for anybody who'd like to find out more or ask any questions. Tree Council Branching Out fund supports the planting and care of trees, hedges & orchards. Schools, community groups, parish and town councils, and tree warden networks can apply for grants £250 - £2,500. Building Communities Trust funding programme to strengthen community anchor organisations at the heart of their neighbourhoods. It will offer flexible funding of up to £150,000 per organisation over four years starting in February 2024. Application deadline: 22 December 2023. Interlink RCT FREE Peer Mentoring Programme is designed to assist community and voluntary groups across Rhondda Cynon Taf to gain valuable support and skills from mentors that have the experience needed to help them. Mentors are recruited from the community and voluntary sector in RCT and can support groups to address their needs.
