A South Texas White Christmas
A South Texas White Christmas
Traveling down to South Texas to start a new life and follow her dream;
All the way she traveled from those rolling hills up in Tennessee.
It was late December and Christmas was but a few days away;
They were racing the weather and wanted to beat Santa and his sleigh.
This was going to be their first Christmas together of many this they believed;
Now the presents were all wrapped and stacked under the tree.
The weather lady said it might snow, now that would be a sight;
And behold, snow it did on that very special Christmas Eve night.
Two of his horses Dixie and Skywalker frolicked and played in the pasture together;
In South Texas they’d never even seen or felt snow or this kind of weather.
He turned and there she stood in the falling snow looking so beautiful in her long coat of fur;
That ole cowboy knew his time was up and soon he’d no longer be a widowed bachelor.
They played in the snow like two children just laughing and having fun;
What a miracle she thought to happen now as our new life together has just begun.
Snow it kept falling and started to accumulate with no end in sight;
Neither had ever experienced such a more glorious or beautiful night.
Up high in the palm trees they could see were now all covered in snow;
Such a an awesome and wondrous sight, soon inside to get warm they’d go.
Her cowboy made them a roaring fire in the fireplace to help warm them up;
Together they snuggled talking of this miracle and their future as they toasted each hot cup.
It had not snowed in Deep South Texas in over 120 years and never on Christmas eve.
Yes it was a magical Christmas time and the beginning of a love that would go into eternity.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:14
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:14
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:11
