South Florida Crane Watch
Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority
The Fort Lauderdale DDA is an independent taxing district established by the Florida State Legislature in 1965.
South Florida Business Journal recently updated it’s Crane Watch map to include Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
Why This Matters:
Both cities are evolving into dynamic places to live, work, and visit. New buildings coming online across South Florida’s urban centers are helping to create more walkable communities full of new amenities.
But with more than 18K units planned in DowntownFTL alone, our urban core has double as many apartments in the pipeline as the entire City of West Palm Beach.
By The Numbers:
Here is how Fort Lauderdale’s citywide development pipeline compares to West Palm Beach’s.
