South Ayrshire Council’s Thriving Communities – Celebration of Success Event

Thriving Communities provide a range of support to individuals, schools, businesses and communities across South Ayrshire.??

A ‘Celebration of Success’ event was held at Ayr Town Hall to celebrate the achievements of over 115 young people and adults who took part in the following employability programmes

Work Out! the extended school work experience programme was established in 2009, now in its 14th year over 1,000 young people have successfully graduated from the programme.?

The Modern Apprenticeships programme, since 1998 almost 2,000 young people have started with SAC as Modern Apprentices.?Many young people have progressed and are now working in various roles in the Council and enjoying opportunities to further their career.?

The Tailored Jobs programme has given the team a fantastic opportunity to work with young people who need a little extra support and now seeing them develop into these jobs and flourish in a working environment.?SAC have benefitted greatly from their enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to doing the best that they can.

The Evolve programme Thriving Communities have worked with people who have struggled to find their way into the workplace.?The support and guidance of the team has helped participants to take that next step and regain their determination to succeed.
