Plant the Seed (PTS) has been helping schools on their journey towards sustainability for approximately 3 years. The majority of their work in schools was focused on designing and running experiential workshops for students with the aim of developing greater critical thinking, collaboration, systems-thinking, and creative thinking.

During COVID 19, CEO - Mattieu Theron & Education Director - Damien Hewitt, used their time to partner with EcoRise.EcoRise is an international educational organisation specializing in online sustainability and professional development. EcoRise has over 10 years’ experience and a proven track in developing content and conducting in-person training with teachers.

This partnership enables Plant the Seed to strengthen their work with schools in South Africa and add value to teachers by equipping them with exciting and relevant learning methodologies and content.

Today (Youth Day), They are proud to launch South Africa's first free teaching community.
