Sourcing Study - Help Wanted!

Calling All Sourcing Professionals! ??

Are you interested in shaping the future of sourcing and contributing to valuable research?

We need your help testing the impact of video in sourcing outreach to passive talent. I'm leading an experiment to see if including a short hiring manager video in initial outreach improves candidate engagement, application throughput rate, or quality of applicant. This will provide valuable insights into enhancing the candidate experience and sourcing effectiveness.

If you currently:

  • Conduct outbound sourcing efforts for two or more positions
  • Track metrics like open rate, response rate and application rate

We need:

  • One hiring manager willing to record a 30 second video like this
  • You to conduct regular outreach for 2 similar open roles, one with video
  • After concluding your sourcing, report metrics on a sheet we provide

Is this a video that is also from the hiring manager’s email alias, or is it from the recruiter with the video from the hiring manager attached?

We did this at dell when we had a huge hiring ramp and I felt it was very helpful. Would be interested to see some real data around this but it certainly gives candidates more information to consider when selecting their next role and company.
