The Quantum Era Is Closer Than You Think

As we wrap up 2024, we're dedicating this edition of The Source to help your organization prepare today for a quantum tomorrow.

Breakthroughs in quantum computing are accelerating timelines, with quantum-relevant computing now predicted as early as 2028 – years ahead of previous estimates. Waiting isn’t an option.

That’s why we’ve created high-level sessions at Keyfactor Tech Dayson quantum readiness, including the PQC & Crypto Agility workshop with practical solutions to future-proof your business. Whether you explore our PQC Lab, join a webinar, or meet us in person, we’re here to help you navigate the quantum transition. Thank you for trusting us as your partner in this journey.

Quantum Readiness...Waiting Isn't An Option

?In a landmark move, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) set an official deadline for transitioning away from legacy encryption algorithms: by 2030, RSA, ECDSA, EdDSA, DH, and ECDH will be deprecated, and by 2035, they will be completely disallowed.

This new timeline acknowledges the growing quantum threat, with some analysts predicting state actors may have quantum decryption capabilities as early as 2028!

What does this news mean for you?

Check out our recent blog and must-watch video. Our team's great interview answers the “why” behind this transition and how NIST'S updates will impact your organization’s security.?

WHAT YOU CAN DO?

Know the Changes Ahead, and Prepare Today!

Getting comfortable with post-quantum cryptography will be key to getting your game plan together and executing a smooth transition. The PQC Lab is your all-in-one resource hub. Find tools to secure your systems and data and get hands-on with a free SaaS-based PKI sandbox to quickly test quantum-ready certificates.

EXECUTIVE PERSPECTIVE

You need to establish where all your crypto stuff is – where are these algorithms and what systems are they communicating with? – then assess the vulnerability of the data being protected. Of the most sensitive data, what data will still be relevant and high-risk in 2028? From there, you can put a plan in place." - Chris Hickman, Chief Security Officer, Keyfactor
