Soundboard #8: Blockchain and Content Creation, Africa Podcast Day, and Celebrating Black Love

Hey Tribe,

In this edition, we are changing things up. Before we bring you the latest happenings in the Jamit Audioverse, please take a moment to read through this article on blockchain-powered content creation

Blockchain technology and content creation

Jamit uses blockchain technology to improve how audio content is recorded, hosted, and distributed. Our approach offers audio creators and listeners a way to earn from what they enjoy.

Blockchain is a kind of technology that creates a secure and unchangeable record of actions. When it comes to audio content, using blockchain means that whenever someone creates something like a podcast or an audiobook, it is stored in a digital ledger that shows who made it. This is important because it helps protect the creator's rights and makes sure they get recognized for their work.

A digital ledger, in this context, is like a notebook that no one can erase or change once something is written in it. For creators, this means once their audio content is recorded in this digital ledger, it's there for good, proving they are the original creators. This helps in stopping others from claiming their work as their own or using it without permission.

Our platform employs this technology to provide transparent, unchangeable records of ownership and transactions. This transparency is vital in building a trustworthy relationship between creators, listeners, and our platform.

Composability is at the heart of Jamit’s approach. By integrating various components, like content verification and monetization strategies, we create a seamless experience for creators. This integration allows creators to focus on what they do best while we handle the intricacies of distribution and monetization.

One of Jamit's key innovations is the use of smart contracts to empower creators. These self-executing contracts with the terms of the agreement directly written into code automate transactions and ensure creators are credited and compensated fairly and promptly.

At Jamit , we are committed to meeting the needs of our creators and their listeners. We value their trust and creativity, and that is why we have built our platform on the blockchain.
