Sound Masking

We had a great conversation yesterday about Sound Masking. Like a lot of you, we know sound masking is basically raising the noise floor in the speech frequencies to help make conversations private. For us, and all our QSYS installations, adding a sound masking zone is simple and effective. We added a pink noise generator as the emitter and then sprinkled a little EQ on it to provide the ideal Sound Masking environment. Along the way, we got to really understand the colored noises (White, Pink, Brown) and how their different curves are influenced by our biology. A fun little detour if you have a few minutes!?
