Soulshots
You're not a head. Your people aren't heads. You shouldn't think of your website photography as a collection of heads.
Capturing the authentic essence of a person with a camera is more than just posing them and asking them to smile. There has to be connection. The photographer stands in for the photograph's audience so the trick is to engage people as human beings.
But light is important. Backgrounds are important too. That's why I shoot in sunlight against available backgrounds, or custom backgrounds I source for my jobs. I prefer the texture of real world objects, not that seamless stuff that makes you look disembodied. You're not a floating head.
I photograph portraits of executives and teams that capture their unique personalities. I come to you. I find a suitable location in your office. I make people feel at ease. That's how you get a soulshot. So whether it's an individual or an entire organization I can give you something special - portraits you can be proud of.

6 年Takes my mind right to a very beautiful movie I saw last night, that I highly recommend, called On Yoga: Architecture of Peace. A photographer who delves deep into connecting with people through portraits and yoga... Watch it Susan!
