[Soul Sunday] Ready for the increase!

Hey Dreamer!

Happy?Soul?Sunday!!

And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, 'Oh that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and You would keep me from evil, that I might not cause pain! ' So God granted him what he requested.” I Chronicles 4:10.

?If you are of a certain age, you remember before social media and how the book, The Prayer of Jabez: Breaking Through to the Blessed Life, went viral in the church community. There were workshops, prayer vigils, and countless sermons on the subject. I even had and still have the book on my shelf. The basic premise was that we want God to bless us and enlarge our territories. I got it then, but I am seeing it differently now.?You see when we ask God who is all and has all and can give all, to increase.?Our territory, our salary, or the profits in our business. Do we really know what that means, and are we ready to receive it??

Real quick?- when we have a larger salary or profits, suddenly our earnings become complicated and we need an expert to help manage, we have more people on our team and inside our company. With larger teams doing all the things, it takes to get to the larger territory (profit). There are more people, more problems, because?you'll need?experienced help to maintain and manage (HR).?

God bless the increase… but are you ready?

Having an overflow is a great problem to have … there are nine ways to prepare for and increase, AKA growth and success. For?today,I am going to unpack just one.?

You must know what growth means for you and your company or career..

To prepare for something, you have to know what it is and how you'll recognize it. What does growth or success look like for you??

Growth is more than just hitting a set of numbers--it's a package that includes changes to your company or career. It?may be how you love or operate,?the difference you make, your staff levels, your team size, and how many other people's lives you can impact. Think of this in terms of what's important to you and what is the difference you want to make and see as?a result of the work you do.

What will your life be like when your company or career grows and profits and reaches the desired (prayed for) increase? How hard are you going to have to work? Are you ready and willing to do what it takes? Are you able to make the sacrifice? How will you feel once you reach your goals? What difference will it make or do you need it to make?

Lord, bless me indeed. Oh, that you would look down upon me from heaven and hear the cry of my heart. It is a cry for connection, intimacy and delight both with and in you. Do cause our fellowship to be lit with the love from above while granting me the grace and courage to not only request but also pursue Your blessings. Bless me, Lord – bless me, indeed. In Christ’s name, Amen.
