[Soul Sunday] God’s Promises Are New!

Hey??Dreamer!?Happy Soul Sunday!!

?God’s Promises Are New!

"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Matthew 6:33

“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

God’s Promises are crucial, especially if you are not where you thought you would be in January of 2023. Maybe your health is failing, or the health of a loved one, or maybe you received a bad report from the doctor, you are unemployed, laid off, or not simply not operating at your peak self.?It’s all just too much to handle. I've?got a word for you….Right here now there’s nothing more important than faith.

In the Bible, faith means trusting all that God promises to be to us in Christ Jesus. So if you are going to have faith, one of the most crucial steps is to understand the promises of God.

So what promises does God have for those who are in need? I thought of three that I hope will strengthen and encourage you.

1. Because of Jesus, God will provide everything you need.

No matter the need God will supply. Often we just need to let Him in. God does not move, we do.He alone is our provider.?

"Let us then, with confidence, draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need."?Hebrews 4:16

2. God is in complete control.

God is not worried about GDP growth, unemployment figures, or manufacturing indexes or your test results.?He controls everything, including the heart of everyone. Every politician, every doctor, every police officer, every son and every daughter, this includes they and them. Just in case you were wondering.?

"The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; he turns it wherever he will. " Proverbs 21:1

3. God provides His perfect power for each day you are in distress.?

Our God still sits high and looks low. God gives us strength in temptation, trouble, sickness, struggle, weakness and waiting.God makes every resource, even the power that raised Jesus from the dead, available to every one of His children!

"I can do all things through him who gives me strength."Philippians 4:13

Trusting in God when you can't trace Him can be difficult, especially when you are facing challenges or uncertainty in your life. However, it is important to remember that God is always with us, even when we can't see Him or understand his plans. We must take the first step even when we can not see the end. Here are a few things that may help you trust in God when you can't trace Him:

  • Reflect on past experiences:?Think about times in your life when God has been present and faithful, even when you couldn't see or understand his hand at work. This can help you build your faith and trust in him in the present.
  • Seek support:?Talk to trusted friends, family members, or a spiritual leader about your struggles and ask for their support and prayer. Having someone to share your concerns with can be a great source of comfort.
  • Read the Bible:?Spend time reading and meditating on passages from the Bible that speak to trust and faith. These can provide encouragement and guidance as you navigate your current challenges.
  • Practice gratitude:?Shift your focus to the things that you are thankful for, no matter how small. This can help you see the blessings that are present in your life and increase your trust in God.
  • Pray: Bring your concerns and fears to God in prayer. Ask Him to help you trust in Him and to give you the strength and guidance you need to face your challenges.

Trusting in God can be difficult, especially when you are facing uncertainty. However, by seeking support, focusing on gratitude, and turning to God in prayer, you can find strength and hope even when you can't trace him.

The final word…..

Be STRONG in the Lord and in His mighty power! You and I can do ALL things through Christ who gives us strength!

Let us pray:

Dear God, please give me strength when I am weak, love when I feel forsaken, courage when I am afraid, wisdom when I feel foolish, comfort when I am alone, hope when I feel rejected, and peace when I am in turmoil. For God, you alone are worthy and all power is in your hands. Amen.

?Meditation:?I am strong in the Lord!
