[Soul Sunday] Enter 2023 With Abundance and Joy!
?Happy Soul Sunday!!
“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
?
If the truth be told, I am a little uncertain about 2023. 2022 was growing on me. But off with the old and on with the new and I am really looking forward to a new year and new dreams and all that means.
On this New Year, let us be thankful for the abundance that this world has to offer; for the love that we have within our friends and families; for the hope of a brighter future; and for the strength we have to try and make it happen. Let us use the dawn of a new calendar year as a reminder to look for the opportunities that may come our way and the promise of blessings, growth and new beginnings.
Let us celebrate New Year's Day with joy and gratitude, humbly and steadfast in our faith. Let us honor our divine source of all goodness, trusting in the love and guidance God provides so that we can move forward with this new year. Though difficulties may arise, we are never alone and each moment of hardship brings spiritual growth and insight into our souls.
?Let us remember that although a new year may bring with it new things, it is the same old, wonderful God who watches over us all. May He give us courage and joy.
Finally, I want to share a few thoughts about being grateful and joyous!
How to create a grateful and joyous year all year long:
1. Make gratitude a habit: Every morning, take a few minutes to think of three things that you are grateful for. It can be anything, big or small. Put a reminder in your calendar each day to make sure you don’t forget.
2. Reflect on what’s working: Take time to reflect on the things that are going well in your life, including successes you achieved in the previous year.
3. Take action: When possible, try to make a difference in the lives of others. This could be donating to a cause, volunteering, or simply taking the time to check in with a friend or family member.
4. Focus on the present: Remind yourself to focus on the present moment and appreciate what you have, instead of worrying about what’s to come.
5. Connect with nature: Get outside and spend time in nature. Whether it’s a short walk or hike outside. Consider First Day Hikes 2023. Just Google it.?
