Hello there,
Throughout my journey as a leader working with more than 20 people, I've come to realize that true leadership is not about how much I work individually or how I delegate tasks to others. Instead, it's a collective effort of teamwork, sharing my vision with the team, providing them with room to shine in their ways, and offering unwavering support to ensure we function as a cohesive unit.
I'm sharing a personal story from my experience that shows this principle.
Several years ago, I found myself leading a diverse team of talented individuals with varying backgrounds and skills. Initially, I believed that as the leader, I needed to be the driving force, working tirelessly to set an example. I thought it was my duty to dictate the path forward and ensure everyone followed suit.
However, I soon realized that this approach needed to be bringing out the best in my team. They weren't fully engaged or invested in our shared goals. It was a turning point for me. I understood that true leadership isn't about being the sole powerhouse; it's about fostering an environment where every team member can contribute their unique strengths and ideas.
I began by openly sharing my vision with the team, explaining where we were headed and why our mission was important. This created a sense of purpose that resonated with everyone. We started to see the bigger picture and the impact we could make together.

Next, I learned the importance of providing space for each team member to excel in their way. I encouraged them to bring their creativity and expertise to the table. Instead of micromanaging, I trusted their abilities and allowed them to take ownership of their responsibilities.
But leadership isn't just about giving space; it's about supporting your team when they need it most. I made it a point to listen to their ideas, concerns, and challenges actively. I provided guidance and assistance when necessary and ensured they felt heard and valued.
Gradually, our team dynamic transformed. We weren't just a group of individuals working together; we became a well-oiled machine, with each part playing a vital role. We supported one another, celebrated our successes, and faced our challenges as a united front.
In conclusion, my journey as a leader has taught me that it's not about how much I work individually or how I direct others. Authentic leadership fosters teamwork by sharing your vision, providing space for individual growth, and offering unwavering support. When you empower your team to shine, amazing things can happen, and together, you can achieve greatness.

What mostly make people being engaged with any organization's goals is not having a clear vision, it is about how people trust you as a leader. To be trusted requires to be Transparent with them, exercising empathy and being consistent. Kudos!
