Dear God,
You’ve set all mankind free,
Yet we forge chains for ourselves and others, binding without a key.
Chains so tight, they seal our fate, Barring us from inner peace and heaven's gate.
To a life of peace, beauty, and bliss so grand,
You and angels beckon, extending a hand.
Yet in our hesitance, we stumble and fall,
Oblivious to the universal love that beckons to all.
Generational beliefs, like cancer, do spread,
Silencing souls, filling hearts with dread.
These systems of belief that deepen our fears,
Make You seem distant, our faith disappears.
But if we challenge what we believe and hold dear,
Echoing John Lennon's plea, the world might clear.
His song Imagine shines, piercing the darkest night, promoting love and dispelling all spite.
Generational, ingrained beliefs tether our soul,
Stunting spiritual growth, exacting a toll.
?
Dear God,
Angels sang of peace and goodwill,
Yet tales of man's sins echo and chill.
Only in Your love can we truly stand,
Lifting each other, heart to heart, hand in hand.

Yet by doubts, we are often confined,
Stricken with a Soul Cancer that clouds the mind.
In times of discord, may Lennon's words be our guide,
Reminding us of what we hold inside.
You've given all we need, this truth we concede,
Healing our soul's cancer should indeed be our creed.
Arriving on Earth, birthed and reborn,
Your kingdom within us, a promise sworn.
If embraced, it could heal every scar,
Ending inner turmoil, and wars from afar.
Help us rewrite the scripts deep inside,
Eradicating ego, pride, and the need to deride.
For if we listen to our heart's deepest yearns,
We'll realize our purpose and the reason it burns.
Walking this path of reflection and care,
Understanding emerges no blame can we wear.
Not about victories or missteps we spurn,
From divine love, we emerged, and to it, we'll return.
