A honorable Yoruba musician, the late Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, in one of his early hit tracks, “Ise Lo Ogun Ise” waxed around 1974 sang of how the traffic situation in Apapa, Lagos was an issue of serious concern, to port operators, importers and residents of the nation’s mother port. The people played it in their cars, danced to it at home and parties; and then went to bed.
