Sought Out 002

I'm sure you've been itching to hear about how our writing has been going. You don't know how much I've wanted to share this story with you beautiful people.

I'm glad I can now tell this story with a smile on my face because as of November last year, I was on the verge of finally dropping my pen.

It seemed it wasn't going to work. It seemed like it was a mistake in the first place. A Lot of suggestions started coming up, from people that do care.?

I did understand them. Even economics taught us that input must always be greater than output for there to be efficiency.?

On my part, I? thought about the time and effort I've put in all these years. Could it be that I was chasing shadows...??

I knew I wasn't, but at that point, I didn't know what to do.?

I didn't say no to any of their suggestions. Like my husband will say (My man of wisdom), I can start something else, to reduce the pressure it's putting on me, while I still wait for it.?

It was that time I started my teaching career. A career I have grown to love (who would have thought).?

It has opened me up to a whole lot of experiences. I get to experience the younger generation with their full package (both the good and the bad). I realized how much I wanted to impact them; all that I have learned over the years.?

One aspect of it which was the tip of the iceberg was the opportunity to practise public speaking, which I have always loved, and it was so cool.?

Of course, I didn't stop writing; thanks to LinkedIn. I created content as often as possible to get people to know what I do.?

The good thing was I wasn't desperate about it like before. I was going after it like a plus to what I was doing.?

Until one fateful day when Abba finally said it is my time, and honestly it was my time.?

The client that I pitched to, last year in October, contacted me for book writing. According to him, when that job came, I was the first person that came to his mind.?

I had always chatted with him before that time, but because he wasn't giving me any positive reply I had to stop.

You know another beautiful thing that happened, the book was about teenagers in a secondary school, so my current job helped me navigate through it with ease.?

I have been writing for him since then and I couldn't be more grateful.?

It has been on a good roll with my career since then.?

A LinkedIn app that I haven't navigated for up to a year, became an instrument for God to bless me and my career.

I did ask myself a whole lot of questions. You know before that time, I was very active on social media creating content, almost every day, preaching my skill like my life depended on it, yet there were no results.?

And when it became a side thing, the miracle happened. Thinking about it now, I think I will say I finally rested it in the hand of God. Because all those while It was a do-or-die thing, I felt it was my efforts that would make it happen.?

I learned the biggest lesson of my life from that experience; that of truth, Abba is the lifter of men. It is not of him that willeth neither is it of him that runneth, but of the lord that showeth mercy.?

When I first learned about LinkedIn, I just knew I'd found a social media app where I belonged. Everything about it resonated so well with me; you talk about the kind of content that is often shared; intentional people trying to build a successful career for themselves.?

I thought about leaving Facebook, but it was a difficult decision because I'd already built a community. But also, I know I can't be very active on two social media accounts. Some others can, but I just can't.?

It was early this year I finally made that decision to focus on LinkedIn and sincerely, I'm glad I did.

This newsletter is about me encouraging someone out there who has been making efforts and is yet to enjoy the results, as long as you are on track and depending on God, find rest.?
