SOTD Breakdown

Manon Jouet is a fantastic motion designer, and the quality of their portfolio matches their impressive talents. At the heart of it, the website is fairly simple - an infinitely horizontal scrolling listing of work items, and when you click the icon bottom right, you get a vertically scrolling most of other stuff (probably WIPs, experiments, unchosen work etc).

It's the interaction that brings this website to life. The horizontal scroll on the homepage makes the user feel like they are flicking through a physical portfolio of work with each swipe of the track pad. The hover effect on the featured work is brilliantly understated also - the background scales down, and the circle widens slightly. Then however, you have the ability to hover over the work text, which reveals a nice flicker effect.

The page transitions are lovely, the colour pallete is tasteful - Brilliant website.
