Sorting my toolbox

I'm looking through my Trello boards to see what might need revisiting or permanent deletion and I thought I'd share my thoughts.

I like Trello. If you want to start getting results out of an Atlassian product fast, nothing beats Trello.

It also makes a great funnel! It's all super easy and before you know it, you're ready for Jira (I kid).

How I use Trello

Here's a card from one of the boards for an old project for Atlassian Developers and Admins that runs Atlassian's Server (remember that?) and Data Center products for Linux using Ansible and Vagrant (now abandoned) for example.

It was easy to reference the commit and make the integration with Bitbucket, and I never needed to consider creating Components or what that hierarchy might even entail.

Small shops don't have Enterprise complexities and maybe shouldn't ask for them in a Create Issue screen.

Made to share

It's a Public board, and it is easy to manage visibility or create a template. Jira's Template/Blueprint process is a bit more complex.

Certainly more if you need to get the Atlassian SDK involved.

1 Hour, plus the time taken to set up the AtlassianSDK

I like Jira, too, don't get me wrong. It's just that I don't come away from Jira with the same energy in reserve. ??
