Up in the mountains of Reserve, New Mexico, David Westbrook, proprietor of Flying W Ranch has been raising Black Angus Cattle with his sons for many years now. The cattle are grass fed until they are 18 months old, whereby they are left to roam the mountains where they are raised freely, eating only natural food (grass). Upon reaching the age of around 18 months the cattle are confined to smaller pens and fed natural corn with no additives or artificial food. No GM products are used at all and the cattle never come into contact with alien or unnatural food or substances.
After three months in restricted confinement the cattle are ready for slaughter. Normally at 20 to 21 months of age. This process ensures perfect marbling within the meat as the cattle move less, lose muscle and gain weight naturally with softer body meat. Upon slaughter the meat will provide the perfect combination of tenderness and tasty marbling with very minimal grain/fat.
The cattle are Black Angus 100%. This can be ascertained by the colour of the skin beneath the fur. If the skin is black, only then can the cow really be considered "Black Angus".
David Westbrook and his team of professional cowboys, amongst whom are his sons, herd the cattle daily on the mountain and protect them from wild animals such as coyote, mountain lion, wolves, bear or other animals of prey. The cattle get the optimal amount of exercise and natural mountain air. Feeding the cattle grain during their last three months also ensures the liver is cleaned out and perfect for human consumption as there would be no impurities within the liver and animal bloodstream.
Flying W Ranch has partnered with a neighbouring slaughter house which has been USDA approved to export beef directly to the European Union. The slaughterhouse is also Halal certified to ensure our premium Beef and offal are good for consumption by all consumers. Flying W Ranch is almost the size of the country of Malta being about 16 miles by 9 miles. Furthermore, a neighbouring Ranch even larger than Malta has been absorbed to provide enough supply to meet any demand. The quality of meat is the main selling point as they take pride in producing the best quality USDA Beef to be found anywhere on the local market or in the world for consumption.
SoOum Corp. has partnered with Flying W Ranch to exclusively export and sell USDA Beef products to the European Union. The port of entry being Marsaxlokk, Malta. From our base in Malta, SoOum will be in a position to export from Malta to the European mainland, North Africa, The Middle and Far East.
