Soonish by Kelly and Zach Weinersmith

For the next eight weeks, my inspirational woman posts are instead going to become inspired woman posts. Each week, I will be sharing a book covering STEM topics which has inspired me. There will be a mixture of authors but all the books which will be discussed have the potential to inspire anyone to take an interest in STEM.

This week’s book is Soonish by Kelly and Zach Weinersmith which was kindly gifted to me at the end of a period of work experience at Bakkavor. It discusses ten emerging technologies and why they may be a good idea or not. These technologies include asteroid mining, fusion power, augmented reality and bioprinting to name a few. It isn’t the sort of book to read cover to cover but it is great to dip into. I imagine it’s the kind of book STEM enthusiasts would have on their coffee table. It also has cartoons so what’s not to love?
