Creating unique, immersive experiences at the world’s largest AV systems integration show
Sony Professional returned to Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam, Netherlands from February 6 to 9, 2018, to showcase how we are revolutionizing the ways in which customers, students, and co-workers collaborate and communicate.
Visitors were able to experience Sony’s newest IT and AV technologies for simulation and entertainment, active learning and corporate efficiencies in our new ‘campus style’ booth, guiding visitors through a range of different settings such as a workplace and a lecture hall.
A New Dimension to Simulation and Entertainment
Our big-screen bezel-less Crystal LED display system took center-stage on our stand, delivering breath-taking 8K x 2K visual images, including new high-end retail fashion signage, gaming, e-sports and cinema content. We announced the launch of the ZRCT-200 controller, along with a new Colour Management Solution which is able to reproduce the same color among high-grade displays, including our range of OLED monitors and the Crystal LED display system.
Sonic Surf VR – Immersive Audio Experience
A hugely popular area of the booth was our latest mind-bending spatial audio array technology, Sonic Surf VR, which allowed visitors to dive into a ‘virtual sea of sounds’ or visit a virtual museum.
Using a unique suite of audio technology combined with newly designed multi-channel speakers and specially developed software, an interactive space was created where sounds appeared to move around by themselves. We are excited to see how Sonic Surf VR develops across location based environments such as theme parks, exhibitions and museums.
The Collaborative Future of Learning
As a technological showcase, we demonstrated Vision Exchange, our flagship interactive presentation and active learning solution, integrated with Skype for Business, one of the most popular remote communication tools in education.
We were delighted to be joined on our stand by the Executive Head of Technology, Lyndon Shirley, from The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) who explained first-hand how Vision Exchange will support the learning and teaching experience for staff and students at the UWTSD.
A Bright Future for Projectors
We were excited to announce at the show that we have strengthened our laser projector line-up with the launch of five new installation models including our highest, brightness installation projector the VPL-FHZ120L at an impressive 12,000 lumens!
Innovative Corporate Efficiencies
Customers were able to get hands-on with our newly launched TEOS corporate solutions, designed to transform workspaces for employees and visitors so that working is simplified, collaboration is enhanced and facilities management is optimized.
The first solution to be launched, TEOS Manage, gives businesses total control of their corporate workplace communications by centrally controlling all IP devices, Sony displays, projectors, tablets and other branded devices.
Live Lectures
In our lecture theater, visitors had the opportunity to attend live production demonstrations covering Education, Corporate and Automotive Solutions. Here, we showcased Sony’s advanced real-time multimedia sharing and collaboration capabilities, together with UbiCast’s automated lecture capture solutions allowing users to share multimedia content in real time, as well as record sessions to be reviewed at a later date.
A Message From Mr. Robert Meakin, ISE 2018 Coordinator (Corporate & Education, Sony Europe Limited)
2018 is our (Corporate & Education) 7th ISE tradeshow dedicated to the AV Marketplace. Every year we attempt to outdo the previous year, and this year was no different. Showcasing Sony’s latest technologies, Crystal LED display system, Sonic Surf VR, TEOS Manage, Vision Exchange and our latest VPL-FHZ120 Laser Projector.
At the core of our booth is showcasing how Sony can support our customers with Bespoke AV Solutions and products. A great deal of planning goes into ISE every year. Typically we start as early as June with preliminary ideas, booth plan, new introductions etc. that leads us up to daily meetings and arriving 5 days prior to show opening to get everything set up and ready to go.
A successful show relies on many groups (Japan & EU) and individuals coming together to make it happen.
