Sonoma Wine Nest Update
Here we are once again in a crisis and I’m committed to notifying everyone on the news related to the wine country as it unfolds.
As news begins to change on a daily basis, the reality of this deadly disease that I’ve been following for months is now beginning to take hold. And as I’m writing this, we now hear this.
I’m hearing that Sonoma County including The Town of Windsor will soon be ordered to begin “shelter in place,” possibly by midnight tonight.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom strongly ordered a directive on wineries, bars and restaurants amidst my husband and I celebrating our wedding anniversary on Sunday night. We were resolved to thinking it would be our last time out in probably a long time. And we were shamelessly right.
The good news is that now everyone can practice eating more at home and saving money on eating out. At least for us, one of our biggest expenditures especially living in the city of Los Angeles, is trying new restaurants and writing about them.
Although this directive on eating out at restaurants is not required, (as of this moment anyway), it’s highly urged which brings me to the next news.
Paso Robles urged their wineries to follow Newsom’s urgency as well as Sonoma County.

What was not impacted was the winery business and production. However, even this has changed just now.
