A sad loss of a true musical genius and unique individual.
I was due to produce and co-write a documentary on Sondheim's favourite movies for Sky Arts back in 2019/2020.
Sondheim was very keen, but his other commitments (including Luis Bu?uel musical he was working on up until his death), the limitations of advanced old age and then of course the pandemic intervened....
A brief personal selection of my top Sondheim songs.
