John tells us in chapter 11 about the death of Lazarus, and after being in the tomb for four days, Jesus comes to him and raises Lazarus from the grave.

Jesus heard that Lazarus, His friend (and brother of Mary and Martha), was sick, but He stayed where He was for two more days (John 11:6). Then Jesus said to His disciples “Let us go back to Judea” (John 11:7). “Our friend Lazarus, has fallen asleep, but I am going there to wake him up” (John 11:11). Jesus had been speaking of the death of Lazarus, but His disciples thought Jesus meant natural sleep (John 11:13). So Jesus told the disciples plainly “Lazarus is dead” (John 11:14), “but let us go to him” (John 11:15). On His arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days (John 11:17). “Lord” Martha said to Jesus “if you had been here, my brother would not have died” (John 11:21). Jesus said to her “Your brother will rise again” (John 11:23). Then Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies” (John 11:25), “and whoever lives and believes in me will never die” (John 11:26). So they took away the stone from the tomb entrance, and Jesus looked up and said “Father, I thank you that you have heard me” (John 11:41). Then Jesus called in a loud voice “Lazarus, come out!” (John 11:43). The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped in strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to the others “Take off the grave clothes and let him go” (John 11:44).???
