A contemporary song reminding us that Jesus will return, and believers will join Him in heaven.
John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus by preaching in the desert of Judea (Matthew 3:1), saying “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near” (Matthew 3:2). Jesus told His disciples “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30). “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away” (Matthew 24:35). And the Book of John tells us “For God so loved the world that He gave His One and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). The Holy Bible tells us that we need to live now, in His ways, for the kingdom of heaven is near, and in heaven, there is no pain, no sickness, no sadness, only holy living, with our living God, and His only Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. So we should heed the Gospel today, because we don’t know when Jesus will return. And when He does come, will He be your Saviour? Or your judge??
Thought for today: Jesus knows the way to heaven, so follow Him for eternity.
Thought for the future: Jesus asks us to join Him for life. Where will you spend your eternity?
