We read about what makes a righteous man in Ezekiel chapter 18, when the word of the Lord comes to Ezekiel.

Suppose there is a righteous man who does what is just and right (Ezekiel 18:5). He does not eat at the mountain shrines or look to idols of the house of Israel. He does not defile his neighbor’s wife (Ezekiel 18:6). He does not oppress anyone, but returns what he took in pledge for a loan. He does not commit robbery, but gives food to the hungry and provides clothing to those in need (Ezekiel 18:7). He does not lend at usury (money lending) or take excessive interest. He withholds his hand from doing wrong and judges fairly between man and man (Ezekiel 18:8). He follows my decrees and faithfully keeps my laws. That man is righteous, he will surely live.???

Thought for today: be right with righteousness and stay strong against wrong.

Thought for the future: not everyone will get into heaven, but the righteous man will. Where will you spend your eternity?

The verse “He does not differentiate in any situation” marked as part of Ezekiel 18:8 reveals that a righteous man will not accept a “wrong” and will only accept a “right” to resolve an issue, in keeping with God’s righteousness.
