The Book of Ecclesiastes tells us in chapter 11 that God will bring His judgement on all of us. Ecclesiastes was a man who reflected deeply on how short and contradictory human life is, with its mysterious injustices and frustrations, finally concluding that life was “meaningless”. Though his thoughts appear rather negative, we can be assured that our faith and hope in God will give our life a greater meaning, as we look toward eternal life with Him. This song is adapted from Ecclesiastes chapter 11.
If clouds are full of water, they pour rain upon the earth. Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where it falls, there it will lie (Ecclesiastes 11:3). Whoever watches the wind will not plant, whoever looks at the clouds will not reap (Ecclesiastes 11:4). As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things (Ecclesiastes 11:5). However many years a man may live, let him enjoy them all. But let him remember the days of darkness (Ecclesiastes 11:8). Be happy, and let your heart give you joy. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you to judgement (Ecclesiastes 11:9). So then, banish anxiety from your heart, and cast off the troubles of your body (Ecclesiastes 11:10).
Thought for today: God’s certainty will see us through life’s uncertainties.

Thought for the future: we can’t see God’s hand, but we can trust His heart. Where will you spend your eternity???????????
