The Psalms in the Old Testament section of the Holy Bible, is a collection of hymns and prayers gathered together over a long period of time, and they are of many kinds. Some reflect worshipping God, while others are prayers and hymns calling for help, protection, forgiveness, salvation and songs of thanksgiving.
It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, oh Most High (Psalm 92:1), to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night (Psalm 92:2), to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp (Psalm 92:3). For you make me glad by your deeds, oh Lord, I sing for joy at the work of your hands (Psalm 92:4). How great are your works, oh Lord, how profound your thoughts! (Psalm 92:5). The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand (Psalm 92:6), that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be for ever destroyed (Psalm 92:7). But you, oh Lord, are exalted for ever (Psalm 92:8). For surely your enemies, oh Lord, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered (Psalm 92:9). You have exalted my strength like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me (Psalm 92:10). My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes (Psalm 92:11). The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon (Psalm 92:12), planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God (Psalm 92:13). They will still bear fruit in old age, thy will stay fresh and green (Psalm 92:14), proclaiming “The Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no wickedness in Him” (Psalm 92:15).

Thought for the future: we can’t see God’s hand, but we can trust His heart. Where will you spend your eternity?
