Sondrel launches 2023 Graduate Recruitment Campaign

Finding a company with a graduate programme that has the right mix of structure yet flexibility, challenge yet support and training, plus the opportunity to work on live projects, can be difficult. However, Sondrel, a leading global semiconductor supplier delivering customised, ultra-complex, digital ASIC solutions believes it has the right formula to do just that. By employing a mix of structured training and on the job development, Sondrel’s graduates feel they can learn all the integral aspects of the business in a safe and supported environment. Ben Fletcher, Sondrel’s Director of Engineering who is responsible for the technical aspects of the programme, said, “Deciding who to start your career with is a massive choice for any graduate. It is also a big responsibility for any company taking on graduates. You only get to launch your career once! Sondrel doesn’t just want to find graduates with the right skills and personality to do the work we do; we want to find graduates who will do really well working for Sondrel. Graduates who will be able to grow and succeed with us and enjoy doing it. Graduates who will ultimately enjoy staying with us for a long time.
“A big part of this is giving candidates a real insight into the company, what a day working here is like, what the culture is like, and what the individual people are like. Adding the secret code into the brochure helps with this – we often have to try and solve problems in unique ways. We have to be determined in our efforts to learn about the problem and try different solutions. We have to finish what we have started and it really helps if we enjoy doing it. Candidates have told us that they enjoyed trying to crack the code, and hopefully the code helps our application process stand out from that of our competitors.”

Sophie Jacobs, Sondrel’s Learning and Development Specialist, who is responsible for the overall management of the Graduate Programme, added, “The whole application process for the Graduate programme is very personable and straightforward – there is no long laborious form to fill in. We ask applicants to send us details on why they think they are a good fit for Sondrel, along with any supporting information they think will enhance their application, such as a CV, details of their course, a project that they have completed, etc...
