Sonder Spotlight: Lily Blayney

Today we’re shining the Sonder Spotlight on our amazing Account Executive, Lily Blayney . In just two short years, Lily has made a huge impact at Sonder, being promoted from BDR to AE. Here, she shares talks us through her day-to-day, shares some of her favourite moments at Sonder so far - and how she takes care of her own health and wellbeing.

As Account Executive, I sit within the Sales and Growth area of the business.?

I am responsible for generating new business, developing and maintaining relationships with clients within the small to medium business space. My role has many elements from account research to contract negotiation, so no two days ever look the same!

Having witnessed the struggles of close friends and family, as well as my own, I'm passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding mental health.?

When I learnt about Sonder’s approach and model of care it was a no brainer for me, plus when I first heard about the medical support we offer, I was instantly wow’d.?

I have lots of favourite moments while working at Sonder.

From team bonding events at Hijinx hotel, to afterwork drinks in the sun at Sydney Opera House, I’ve? met colleagues who have become great friends. I’d describe Sonder’s culture as fast-paced, purpose-driven and fun.?

In terms of professional growth, it would be being promoted from Business Development Representative to an Account Executive. And in terms of company growth, I was super excited when we launched into the UK. Given I am from the UK originally, I know first hand how many people we can impact by providing the right care at the right time, and how needed it is.?

I find the best way to disconnect and prioritise my wellbeing is spending time and laughing with friends.

I also like getting into nature (I love an ocean dip!) and spending some downtime watching a good Netflix series with a candle lit. I am also known to have the travel bug. There’s nothing a holiday can’t fix!
