Sometimes you just need to press pause

Sometimes you just need to press pause

For many of us that haven’t been working on the frontline or been devasted by financial ruin or loss of a loved one; the Covid- 19 pandemic enforced us to press pause on our increasingly busy lives. For those on the brink of exhaustion, completely frazzled with little time for friends and family, let alone themselves the pandemic may have actually saved them.

As the lockdown restrictions start to be lifted, it might be a good time to reflect and make a conscious decision, which elements of lockdown you want to carry forward into the new world and those you’d rather leave behind…………………

L – listening to the ones you love and not taking them for granted

O – organising what’s important in life

C – compassion for parents and community

K – kick starting your fitness regime with Jo Wicks

D – date nights and dress down days

O – observing the beauty of the outdoors and being open to learning new things

W – whether it’s walking or watching “Tiger King”

N – noticing the small things in life and being so grateful for them

As we venture out into the new world there’s no better time to embark on your very own mindfulness journey. Practicing mindfulness regularly helps you to pause, take control and notice what’s right in front of you; it empowers you to become mentally tougher; enabling you to adapt and navigate whatever’s on the horizon.
