Dr. Angelique Adams , leadership consultant and author, is this week's guest on the podcast.
Tune in to learn more about her journey, including her reason to study Engineering and go to graduate school, which had me in stitches laughing!
I made a YouTube video on a way to look at overcoming the fear of public speaking. It’s about reframing the fear and thinking about the possibilities instead. Check out the video HERE.
PUBLIC SPEAKING TIP
Practice your speech while lying down.
When you rehearse lying flat, you eliminate many habitual tension patterns in your body, particularly those related to posture and movement. This forces you to focus purely on your vocal delivery—your tone, pacing, and breathing. It also helps you become more aware of any verbal crutches (like "um" and "uh") since you can't rely on gestures or movement to fill gaps.
Once you've nailed your delivery in this relaxed state, standing up and adding body language will feel much more natural and controlled.
All for now!
