In the hustle and bustle of the business world, we often face situations where our authority is tested. Let's talk about those moments when our team members might not fully support our vision or fail to follow instructions.
I've always believed that leaders must strike a balance between being understanding, and polite, and showing authority when needed. There are times when a gentle nudge or a friendly reminder is all it takes, but there are also moments when we need to "break the glass."
"Breaking the glass" doesn't mean being harsh for the sake of it. It's about asserting your leadership, setting boundaries, and ensuring that your team understands the importance of following guidelines and deadlines!! It's about stepping up when necessary to maintain order and drive results.
Remember, leadership is not always about being the "nice guy." It's about making tough decisions, having those uncomfortable conversations, and ultimately, guiding your team towards success.
So, the next time you find yourself in a situation where your authority is being tested, don't shy away. Embrace the challenge, break the glass if you have to, and lead with confidence.
Here's to navigating the ups and downs of leadership together!
