Sometimes we don't know when or why

Well hello there!
Thursday night my man took me out for dinner and then to the Nathaniel Rateliff concert. It was one of my top 5 favorite nights with him! And these last 2 years haven't always been easy for us, let me just say.
When I heard Annie Lalla (Love Coach) say, “who is worth the struggle?” I understood. This guy sure is. I’ve asked myself many times, why is this so hard? What makes us keep working on things? When will it get easier? Being willing to stay and not give up has been worth it, I see now so clearly.
If you’ve ever wondered, when will I meet my person, when will this grief pass, when will I lose the weight, when will my luck change, when will I be happier, when will I find a great place to live, when will I make more money - let me tell you - you will, I just don’t know when.
The ‘when’ is what can make life frustrating or exciting. Do you really want to know when? What if I told you it’s going to be in 3 weeks. What if it’ll be in one year and you’ll have to get ready for it. What would you do differently? Maybe you’d chill out. Maybe you’d try to enjoy what you have instead of what you don’t have quite yet? Maybe not. Could you be OK with not knowing when, while knowing that it will?
And in the meantime, it is work.
It’s kinda the same with why. Why isn’t this working, why am I in the same place, why is it so hard, why didn’t they call back, why did I get let go, why do people cheat, why did they say that, or why didn’t they say this? You will often get the answers you seek, in time.
I’ve noticed in my life, once the when comes to pass, the why is revealed.
Feeling so happy with him, I know exactly why we pushed through those hard times. I know exactly why things didn’t work out with anyone else. I didn’t know when we would turn the corner, but I had a feeling we would. So I went with it. And kept working on myself.
What that night also showed me was that my nervous system was regulated. I was able to feel so many feelings! Elated, close and connected, joyful, tapped in, turned on, being loved and loving.
Next week I’ll share about the nervous system. One major sign to know your system could be dysregulated is when you’re having a hard time feeling anything at all.
Believe things will work out. How was I ever to know that the girl who broke my heart in university would lead to my soulmate? How was I to know that the ‘dream job’ I was rejected from out of college would lead me to a year of entrepreneurship and adventure in Spain? How was I to know that taking a miserable job back in the states would be just the push I needed to vow to never do something I wasn’t passionate about again? Everything works out. I mean everything. As long as you believe it will. When you do, you will find the silver lining. That will take you to the next level. - Steve Jobs
