Sometimes slowing down is a power move

#newdaynewchapter is a Blog narrative started on March 1, 2021 co-founded by Kishore Shintre & Sonia Bedi, to write a new chapter everyday for making "Life" and not just making a "living"
We live in a dynamic world which is governed by specific laws and the time is constant throughout . You know what Late Dr. Kalam, former 11th president of India said that we only add prefix to define the time. So what you basically are talking about time is slow or fast is nothing more than your perception. You may say that time is good or bad however just think isn't that what according to what situation are you in or your state of mind?
And this applies to everyone out there. The moment you live goes fast and the moment you are trying to escape through goes slow. Therefore it is really common thing and enjoy every moment howsoever it is because you never know when it is your last moment! Astonishingly this is something even I have been experiencing since long and had always thought me to be the only one experiencing and it was later in my life that I realized and found this phenomenon to be common in several others too moreover this is the a bit complex human psychological process indeed!
Actually when we have experienced something and the same is getting repeated later in our life when we find the condition to be familiar and as our past memory about the moment is blur then due that we get complex in our memories and it seems that the scenario of present is being rewind or fast forward and cannot make out what exactly is happening! All that you see is what your brain shows you and these phenomenon are experienced in your sub-conscious state of mind!
This may be one explanation in Sanskrit (one of oldest know languages used in India even today) the word for "a moment" is "kshana". Kshana is basically the time between 2 thoughts. Yes, the ancient Hindus used this psychological time unit. This may explain your problem - if you had many thoughts the time between them would be less and you would feel time move fast and on the other hand if you were waiting in a dentist's office, your mind may be focused on the anticipated procedure and may result in just a few thoughts and thus there may be more time between two thoughts and thus you may feel that time is moving slowly.
But keep life aside for sometime and think in fact they are extremely small units like truti (0.031 μs approx) used in ancient Hindu literature - we don't clearly understand why they would want such a small unit of time or what could they be measuring thousands of years ago which was happening so fast - Hindu units of time.
Experiential time quite literally is the amount of time that you experience, and your perception of it. You will extend it during periods of discovery, performance, or anything that sets a date or puts pressure on your time. This is also the time that you remember and takes you back through your life, the time that enriches you. Live in this and you live a lot longer.
If you feel life is going too fast it’s because you are too busy to enjoy it. You need to understand that we are all only human and we are meant to actually live calm lives, enjoying quiet sunsets and smelling the flowers once in a while. By this I don’t mean you shouldn’t pursue your goals, what I mean is you need to actually put time aside to slow down and enjoy some quality quiet time to just sit and be. You will be amazed how time slows down when you slow down!
If you want to see results, as with anything in life, you need to make this quiet time a habit, do it consistently and you will see the best results. Say no to more things, be careful not to overload yourself mentally and emotionally. We actually do have limits. Protect yourself and your time, because nobody else is going to do it for you. Remember not all things matter equally. If you have a task to complete, there are certain steps that will contribute a greater proportion to your success than others. It’s called the Pareto principle. Focus on the tasks and things that will have the greatest impact, the rest don’t matter so spend less effort and time on these.
Remember that our greatest and most precious commodity is time. It’s even more valuable than money. You can have all the money in the world, but if you don’t have time you will not be able to enjoy it. Time is life so take care of your time and manage it, because it is sacred. Right now, this very second is different from the last. Be curious to notice the slight changes between this moment and the previous one. Notice your breathing slowly. Are you breathing into your chest or your stomach? Is there any part of your body that feels the tension that you can release? What is the furthest thing you can hear right now?
While tapping into your mindful self can help make the time ratio feel less anxiety provoking by giving you a sense of control. I believe that the older we get we also have more things to worry about. Having a never-ending to-do list can wire our brains to be constantly thinking about the future and miss out what is happening right in front of us! Cheers!
