Sometimes in Life
From my book, “Desires of Your Heart”.
Sometimes in Life
The guilt and resentment she tried to brush from her mind;
But the thoughts she felt, kept taking her back in time.
Back into her past and a very special place;
To where she had worn a real smile on her beautiful face.
Now alone she travels this dusty trail of life;
Wondering why each day was filled with so much strife.
Some days she thought of going out and trying again;
To give it one more try and this time to win.
Her heart said yes, give it one more try;
But here mind stopped her cold as the months went by.
Sometimes in life we just have to go ahead and just begin;
You only regret the things you didn’t try in the end.
Seek out God’s word and His will to be done;
Then take the steps that lead your heart with the rising sun.
It’s never too late in life to make things right;
Just always pray for His guidance each day and night.
There may be times you have to just let go and start anew;
God will guide your steps and always lead and direct you.
Let go of the negative things that haunt you from the past;
It’s the only way you’ll ever find a true love that will last.
Maybe forward God may take you or back you never know;
Just put your trust in Him and then just let go.
So into tomorrow she goes to give life and love one more try;
This time around, she’ll let her heart, head and God be her guide.
As the stars shined so big and bright on that Texas night;
She once again found her true love and felt it was so right.
Yes sometimes making amends and starting fresh works the best;
Always let God be your guide and direct your steps.
So never give up on life or love;
Just keep trusting in God and always let Him guide you from above.
