Sometimes, let's be late!

In this fast-paced techie life - we have become quite impatient.
We want to go out - book OLA / UBER - the cab will arrive within few minutes.
Hungry? Pizza in 30 minutes.
Money transfer - tap on mobile for few seconds and done, or else "Paytm Karo"!
So what have we lost?
Few things like :
1) Looking outside the train, waiting for the particular station to arrive so that we can grab famous pakora/samosa.
2)We have stopped thinking about numbers. Our important mobile contacts, account number, passport number - we hardly memorize anything.
3) We have improved our presence on Social Platforms but at the cost of social presence. We have time for instapics and hashtags, but hardly we notice the new neighbour or co-passengers.
Studies and surveys already prove that these small little things have increased stress, made us much more impatience and much more.
At some point, I also felt like an overdose of mobile. I tried below-mentioned steps. It didn't solve my problems completely but reduced it to some extent.
You can also try some of these amendments :
1) There's an App called "Quality Time"
Install it (or any similar app) - This will give you a breakup of app usage, and amount of time you spent on that app daily/weekly/monthly.
Whatever the numbers it will show, you will realise that you never expected that much of time lost in such apps.
2) In daily life, use of G-mail/ LinkedIn everything can be allowed a slot instead of 24 × 7 availability. Nowadays, mobile phones have the option to put fewer priority notifications as silent and also in a specific time duration.
3) Whatsapp nowadays is one of the essential apps. To minimise its misuse lets put common groups silent for most of the times. Also, let request individuals stop spamming with messages.
4) Let's give 3 most important member in our life, a fixed amount of time, at least say 5 minutes each day.In person, communication will be best, but if they are far, then we can connect a call.
5) Let's carry a book with ourselves. Sometimes, we surf across apps because we have nothing else to do, especially during commuting hours.
Those who don't like reading books can carry with them rubiks or sudokus. A painter can carry handy drawing book or something else of your interest!
6) Keep phone away from bed while charging.(This really helps a lot !)
So It will disconnect you from the phone at least twice a day!
7) For new smartphones, features like adaptive brightness and night mode can be turned on to minimise the damage to our eyes.
If you have done something similar or wish to say something on this, please leave your comments.

6 年Totally agree, Let it be " "There's a dog sleeping in our garden"; "It's not doing any harm, let it be'. In this case it's 'leave it alone'.
