Sometimes God's Answer Is No, But That's Not A Bad Thing
Sometimes God gives us the dreams and desires of our heart with a very tangible and immediate “yes” answer to prayer.
Then there are times that the answer is still yes, but not quite yet. God’s timing. During this time, He is preparing us and making the way. Often we derail ourselves from that dream because of our impatience. Impatience eventually turns to unbelief. We either make the journey much longer than what God had intended, or sometimes we give up altogether. Trust His timing.
The hardest to accept is when the answer is no, that God’s dream for us is different than our own. We see our dream realized clearly in our mind, we play it out over and over. We even think about how God would do the “big reveal”. We feel the drive and passion in our heart. We have set high expectations on the dream and how God is going to bring it to pass. Because of that, we believe it is of God and when the answer is no, we are crushed. It feels like a part of us has died, and it has. We mourn the loss. We begin to question God and sometimes become disappointed or even angry with Him. We look to advice from family, friends and colleagues, but we don’t seek what God’s heart is for us. Trust His understanding.
God understands our hurt and I believe He’s okay with us mourning the loss. But, He wants us to take that next step with Him. He didn’t bring you through all of your past trials, bless you with all of those opportunities and gift you with all of those talents for nothing. Yes, your dream has come to end, but you were created and prepared for something much bigger. Even if years have gone by and you’re just being busy to be busy, settling with where you’re at, it’s not too late. With God, it’s never to late. Talk to Him... more importantly, listen to Him. He has a dream for you to fulfill. Trust Him.

Thanks for the encouragement, and keeping it real. Sincerely, you've encouraged me. ... But did anyone else think "That picture is like the defacto First-World-Problem meme."

6 年His no is always for our good even when it doesn’t “feel” good. His NO usually is to protect His intended YES i our lives. For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.
