SOMETIMES CINDERELLA'S GLASS SLIPPER GETS SMASHED!

March is always a fun time of year for me with all the tournament basketball available to watch. The one and done nature of tournament basketball is captivating!

Never more so than when an underdog like St. Peter's (a #15 seed!) creates waves by eliminating a high seed in the first round!

And then again....and again!?St. Peter's College won THREE games against higher seeded teams and advanced all the way to the Elite 8 to face North Carolina.

Cinderella had shocked the world and was on the cusp of doing the unthinkable, making a FINAL FOUR!

But Cinderella ran into a North Carolina team who was taller, longer, and playing their best basketball of the season.?

The glass slippers that St. Peter's, and most of America, wanted to see on their feet at the end of the game, that would punch their ticket to a Final Four, were smashed.

UNC was the better team and took it to St. Peter's from the start and didn't let up. It was great tournament for the Peacocks of St. Peter's but it came to a crashing halt.

This can also happen to retirees if they don't take the proper precautions to construct a Retirement of Steel.

Their hopes and dreams of what retirement will look like can come crashing down due to things out of their control.

Negative market returns leading up to or at the beginning of retirement, also known as sequence of returns risk, can wreck havoc on retirees.
