“Sometimes being kind and appreciative of being alive is a bit isolating” A.W. (Friend)
Alignment - an interesting word that can mean so many things. Wheel, track, stars, planets, you get the idea.
So what does it mean when you are figuring out your life, or in this case, my life?
I have been in transition for 10 months. Actually working towards finding other opportunities. In the mean time I have been working with my wife, supporting her any way I can to see this family business grow.
The reality is my passions in life and my career have not truly been aligned ever since my brain injury. I see the world differently, I see people differently, I believe in myself more than I ever have.
I miss science, working with amazing people on the cusp of novel treatment and diagnostic advances in medicine. I miss working with people that are futurists, trailblazers and life changers.
I know where my value is, I know where I best help and connect and unravel and grow business that is profitable and intentional based on solid data and passion. I know this.
What happens when alignment is a degree off? It is frustrating. Recently I was having a chat with a woman that has also been through a brain injury… She said something to me very profound”
“Sometimes being kind and appreciative of being alive is a bit isolating”
When I moved here I connected with hundreds of health and wellness professionals. The passion they have for life, for giving back, for seeing the best in others and helping them attain it invigorated me, excited me, fired my passion for life again.
I have managed $200M budgets, launched new business lines, purchased and led the installations of over $100M worth of new equipment. Led teams of 2 to teams of 60. I Believe in people and good and passion and hard work. I have led culture change on the ground and led from above while helping others reset their careers and lives. I have done this with integrity and without throwing others under a bus. I have insulated my bosses from negativity as asked and protected those needing it.
I LOVE seeing people succeed. I love helping people succeed and I love seeing patients live.
So this is a long ass post. What’s the point?
I turned down an opportunity to work with a startup this week. Early stage, potential is there and it is just not the right opportunity for me.
So, I will keep looking for the partners out there I am meant to work with and continue growing my photography business, working with Tam and Keeley and being a resource for individuals and teams that need help.
So, How do I help you? Where can I support you on your path and in your career?
Life is great and there are amazing things going on in the world. If you need to be pushed, I will get your business to where it needs to be.
