Something to smell today. It is not common to have a wood-burning fireplace in one's home. However, there are a few occasions when this is a special feature of the atmosphere of a room. The scent of a burning fire is my favorite aroma of all time. The amber, ashes, the slight smoke scent, burning logs. These scents are my fondest memories, for when I was a child my father used to have a burning fire, especially during the holidays. When my children were small, our first home.
