Email marketing is boring.
*Oh my gosh he said that, how rude.
Well, most email marketing is or at least can be. Email newsletters and stuff companies want to send you is nearly always meh.
Here's some blog we outsourced, here's the new lead gen thing we want you to see.
It's just sending out stuff they made.
Which is fine, nothing wrong with it. (Duh, everyone does it).
But they're never that good.
I wanted to try something different and see if I could breathe some life into a "newsletter" if I could with a format which might shake things up.
No it's not 100% original, because nothing can be anymore.
So, here's the email (see below).
I will attach my stats to show how it performed as we go with my commentary and notes per "edition".

You may know me, might have seen some of my posts here and there. Or you may not.
I wanted to give you a heads up on a new series I am testing out - this is the pre-launch email.
Once a week (we’ll see), I’ll be talking with a marketer in our space and co-authoring this ~newsletter~ with some thoughts and ideas to think on.
Think of it as a podcast interview, but a quick newsletter around this same length of email.
Yep, this email is super plain and unbranded. I’m starting off using Beehiiv, it’s really good. But I’m worrying about the content before I make it look pretty.
So, no hard feelings if you don’t give a s#*t and Unsubscribe.
But just know, there’s no links or calls to action. Just reply if anything resonates, if you agree or disagree, have a question, etc.
