Something New In Google Maps

Morning all.

Here's an exciting new thing (if you're into this kind of stuff)!

We've noticed that a "Products and Services" link is starting to show up in certain GMBs/knowledge panels. In English that means that you can guide prospective clients to help them view your actual products and services, prices and what-not directly from the Map listing.

The good people at BrightLocal (a foremost authority that you might want to bookmark) have produced an article on this which I'll link to below.

The BrightLocal piece describes all this in more detail, but what I think you should take away from this - assuming you want to do things yourself - is to build a page dedicated to the services you offer, much like you would do in an html sitemap (something we build manually).

On this page, you don't necessarily have to use the page meta titles, rather use short descriptions (along with the magic "maps producing phrases" clearly describing that service with a link out to that individual service page.
